Handyman Assistant (Polokwane)

About the role

CBRE Excellerate is seeking a Handyman Assistant to support its Handy Man in delivering routine maintenance and repair services across multiple client sites in Polokwane. The role combines hands‑on building work with digital reporting using a smartphone and mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Handy Man with general building maintenance and repairs at client locations.
• Perform tasks such as carpentry, painting, ceiling repairs, drywall installation, basic masonry, plumbing, tiling, and office furniture repairs.
• Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for each site visit.
• Conduct inspections, identify issues, and generate accurate digital reports.
• Complete daily administrative duties, including digital job cards, delivery notes, and reports via mobile apps.
• Respond promptly to site call‑outs and support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Provide feedback to the Handy Man and Operations Manager and adhere to all health, safety, and client requirements.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in general building or facilities maintenance support.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Ability to use a smartphone and mobile applications for reporting and work tracking.
• Reliable, trustworthy, detail‑oriented with good communication skills.
