Half-Day Bookkeeper (R200/hr) – Sandton

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Half-Day Bookkeeper with strong Xero accounting experience to manage the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Full bookkeeping function to Trial Balance
• Processing of debtors and creditors
• Supplier and customer reconciliations
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Cashbook processing
• Processing invoices, payments, receipts and journals
• Maintaining the general ledger
• VAT preparation and reconciliations
• Assist with month‑end processes and management accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queries
• Assist with payroll and other finance‑related administration where required

Required profile

• Relevant bookkeeping/accounting qualification advantageous
• Minimum 3–5 years' bookkeeping experience
• Strong practical Xero experience is essential
• Good understanding of VAT, debtors, creditors and reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, organised and comfortable working in a half‑day position
