Guesthouse Manager

About the role

Gracia de Dios is looking for an experienced, hands‑on and highly organised Guesthouse Manager to take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of our guesthouse. This senior operational role requires ownership of guest experience, staff supervision, administration and property upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full guest journey from enquiry through check‑out, including quotations and bookings.
• Handle the main telephone line, WhatsApp and email communications and respond to accommodation enquiries.
• Maintain reservations, room availability and coordinate platforms such as NightsBridge, Booking.com and other booking channels.
• Supervise housekeeping, garden and grounds staff, prepare schedules and allocate daily duties.
• Conduct daily room and property inspections to ensure the guesthouse is clean, tidy and ready.
• Oversee breakfast and dinner standards, monitor stock, coordinate purchases and supplier deliveries.
• Prepare invoices, monitor guest deposits and outstanding payments, and keep accurate administration records.
• Report operational matters to owners and act as the primary on‑site contact.

Required profile

• Previous guesthouse, lodge, hotel or hospitality management experience.
• Experience in reception, guest service and managing accommodation bookings.
• Proven staff supervision or management background.
• Strong administration, computer and communication skills.
• Ability to handle difficult guest situations professionally.
• Basic understanding of property maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
