Growth Coverage Banker: Mid-Corp

About the role

The Growth Coverage Banker – Mid‑Corp will generate and enhance revenue and economic profit from existing and new clients, managing internal stakeholders and collaborating across Nedbank’s wholesale clusters. The role sits within Nedbank’s Mid‑Corporate Growth Coverage team, offering exposure to senior decision‑makers and the chance to influence client strategies across sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate long‑term professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders and act as the single point of contact for clients.
• Proactively propose customized financial solutions by understanding client businesses and coordinating with relevant product areas.
• Deliver a three‑year portfolio plan by engaging with client executives to understand short‑ to medium‑term strategies.
• Identify and recommend improvements to business processes, models and systems to add value and enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in sales and deal origination within a corporate or mid‑corporate banking portfolio.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with C‑suite executives and structure financial transactions.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory environment and sector‑specific dynamics.

Required skills

• Knowledge of lending, investment banking and treasury product areas.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of risk policies, internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
