Group Procurement Manager

About the role

The Group Procurement Manager will lead the procurement function for a portfolio of utility‑scale renewable energy projects across Sub‑Saharan Africa. Reporting to the Head of Construction, this strategic role shapes procurement strategy, supplier partnerships and commercial negotiations to support the delivery of large‑scale clean‑energy assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a group‑wide procurement strategy aligned with project delivery schedules.
• Lead sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation and ongoing supplier management activities.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Legal and Commercial teams.
• Drive cost optimisation while ensuring quality, compliance and performance.
• Identify supply‑chain risks and implement mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Finance.
• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, with 2‑5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the renewable‑energy sector.

What we offer

• Salary range R1.5 million to R1.6 million (excludes performance bonus).
