About the role
The Group Head of Shared Services will lead the municipal shared services function, ensuring impartial, accountable and efficient delivery across ICT governance, fleet management, corporate administration and information management.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee ICT governance, application and infrastructure management.
- Direct corporate fleet management operations.
- Manage corporate administration and information management, including GIS services.
- Provide management and administrative support to the municipality.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procurement frameworks.
Required profile
- Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Public Management, Law, ICT Governance) and a master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 12 years of experience, with at least five years in senior management, preferably in local government.
- Strong knowledge of policy, legislation, performance management, governance and supply‑chain regulations.
- Valid Code B driving licence and no criminal record.
- Ability to undergo competency assessment and security vetting.
