Group Financial Manager

About the role

A leading organization within the industrial, mining and engineering sector is seeking an experienced and technically strong Group Financial Manager to join its senior finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) who is passionate about group reporting, statutory reporting and complex group consolidations.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full group financial reporting and consolidation process, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead complex group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliation of group balances.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end reporting across multiple entities and review management accounts and key performance indicators.
• Coordinate the annual external audit process and drive improvements in reporting processes, systems and controls.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and mentor the finance team.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification – essential.
• Minimum 5 years’ management experience in a group or multi‑entity environment.
• Proven experience managing complex financial reporting and consolidation processes.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Previous exposure to the industrial, mining or engineering sectors.
• Strong leadership, people management and analytical abilities.
