Graphic Designer – Apparel (Mid‑Level) – Cape Town

About the role

My client is seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Graphic Designer to join their Apparel team in Cape Town. You will translate written briefs and consumer insights into compelling graphics and production‑ready artwork for both international and South African brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design original graphics for T‑shirts, hoodies, outerwear and seasonal collections.
• Create production‑ready artwork, including tech packs, CADs, sketches, labels, hang tags and packaging.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Merchandising and Marketing to ensure designs align with brand identity and are executable.
• Develop marketing collateral such as brochures, catalogues, lookbooks and e‑commerce graphics.
• Research apparel trends, printing and dye techniques and consumer preferences to inform design direction.
• Manage colour palettes, CAD libraries, digital assets and oversee artwork approvals through to final production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art or a related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in apparel graphic design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing apparel and branding work.
• Understanding of apparel construction, textile printing methods and pattern development.
