Graphic Designer – Apparel & Branding

About the role

Our client, a growing organisation in display and branding, is looking for a motivated Graphic Designer to join their team in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. The role focuses on creating original artwork for apparel collections and supporting the brand’s visual identity across various media.

Key responsibilities

• Create original graphics, prints, patterns, and artwork for apparel collections.
• Develop seasonal design concepts and trend boards.
• Prepare production‑ready artwork and technical specifications.
• Design branding elements, labels, packaging, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with apparel designers, buyers, and merchandisers on product ranges.
• Adapt designs to garment specifications and printing techniques.
• Review samples and ensure artwork accuracy before production.
• Research fashion, graphic, and consumer trends.
• Monitor competitor activity and emerging design directions.
• Present new ideas and concepts to management.
• Prepare print‑ready files for suppliers and manufacturers.
• Liaise with printers and production teams regarding artwork requirements.
• Ensure colour consistency and quality standards are maintained.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Graphic Design.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar graphic design position.
