Graphic Designer – Apparel & Branding

About the role

Our client, a growing organisation in display and branding, is looking for a creative Graphic Designer to join their Johannesburg team. The role focuses on designing original graphics for apparel collections and supporting product development from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Create original graphics, prints, patterns and artwork for seasonal apparel collections.
• Develop design concepts, trend boards and branding elements such as labels, packaging and promotional materials.
• Prepare production‑ready artwork and technical specifications for manufacturers and printers.
• Collaborate with apparel designers, buyers and merchandisers to adapt designs to garment specifications and printing techniques.
• Review samples, ensure artwork accuracy and maintain colour consistency throughout production.
• Research fashion, graphic and consumer trends, monitor competitor activity and present new ideas to management.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma in Graphic Design.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar graphic design role, preferably within apparel or branding.
• Strong visual creativity and an eye for detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and meet production deadlines.
