Graduate Training Programme – Metallurgy & Chemical Engineering

About the role

Columbus Stainless is offering a 24‑month Graduate‑in‑Training Programme for recent graduates in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering. The programme provides hands‑on experience in one of Africa’s largest stainless‑steel manufacturers, combining structured training with mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and apply metallurgical processes, refining and alloying techniques.
• Participate in quality‑control activities and product testing.
• Identify and implement process‑optimization opportunities across production.
• Rotate through multiple departments and contribute to improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Matric certificate with strong academic performance.
• Strong analytical, teamwork and communication skills.
• Adaptability to dynamic manufacturing environments.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
