Graduate Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a graduate Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer to join our fast‑moving FMCG manufacturing site in Parow Industria, Cape Town. The position offers hands‑on exposure to the full machine development lifecycle, from concept through commissioning, within a 24‑hour production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in machine design, CAD modelling, calculations, fabrication, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning.
• Assist with mechanical design modifications and process‑improvement activities.
• Contribute to preventative‑maintenance programmes to boost equipment reliability.
• Perform fault‑finding, root‑cause analysis and prepare technical documentation, reports and engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality and other operational teams.

Required profile

• Completed BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Recent graduate or limited post‑graduate industry experience.
• Strong interest in machine design, automation and manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to engage in all stages of machine development, including testing and commissioning.
• Ability to provide an academic transcript when shortlisted.
