About the role
The South African Department of Transport is offering a 24‑month graduate internship programme for unemployed South African graduates. Interns will be placed in Pretoria or other locations across the country, depending on the specific position.
Key responsibilities
- Gain workplace exposure across various departments such as Administration, Finance, IT, Human Resources, Law, Engineering, Transport, Aviation, Maritime, Rail, Economics and Town Planning.
- Participate in project work, research, policy development and operational tasks relevant to the assigned internship area.
Required profile
- Unemployed South African graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a field relevant to the specific internship (e.g., Public Administration, Finance, IT, Human Resources, Law, Engineering, Transport, etc.).
- Must not have previously participated in a developmental programme and must match the qualification to the reference number of the chosen position.
Required skills
- Relevant academic knowledge in the chosen discipline.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to work in a team environment.
