About the role

Capitec is launching its Graduate Internship Program for 2026/27, offering recent graduates a chance to gain hands‑on experience across multiple banking functions. Interns will rotate through departments such as retail banking, finance, risk, marketing, IT, and customer service, working alongside seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Rotation through different departments within Capitec to gain exposure to various functions such as retail banking, finance, risk management, marketing, IT, customer service, and more.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs to develop both technical and soft skills crucial for professional growth.
• Assist in the implementation of projects, contribute innovative ideas, and collaborate with teams to drive business objectives.
• Conduct research, analysis, and presentations to support decision‑making processes within different business units.
• Engage in day‑to‑day activities under the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining practical knowledge of banking operations and customer service best practices.
• Embrace Capitec’s culture, values, and ethical standards while contributing positively to a collaborative work environment.

Required profile

• Recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, IT, or related disciplines.
• Strong academic background with a minimum GPA or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team and adapt to a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Passionate about the banking industry and eager to learn and grow within the sector.
• South African citizenship or valid work permit in South Africa.
