Graduate Hedge Fund Accountant

About the role

Join Prescient Fund Services' growing Alternative Administration team as a Graduate Hedge Fund Accountant. You will support fund accounting operations and gain exposure to hedge fund administration and NAV calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily reconciliations of trades, cash and positions that feed into the final NAV process.
• Support the calculation of Net Asset Values across allocated fund structures.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fund manager and investor reports.
• Capture and process fund transactions accurately and timely.
• Provide end‑to‑end fund accounting and administration services as part of a collaborative team.
• Help service funds and investment managers, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Assist with system and process changes as required.

Required profile

• Exposure to hedge funds through academic study, internship or limited work experience.
• Relevant postgraduate financial qualification such as BCom Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
• Self‑starter attitude with willingness to take responsibility for a variety of tasks.
• Ability to work in small teams, manage information flow and meet deadlines.
• Methodical, analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
• High integrity, honesty and respect for peers.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
