Global Operations Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Global Operations Engineer to join our 24/7 production team. You will be on the front line of keeping large‑scale, mission‑critical systems stable, resilient and performant in regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in 24/7 shift rotations, acknowledge, triage, prioritize and investigate production alerts.
• Own incidents from detection through resolution, escalating to specialists when required.
• Conduct root‑cause analyses for complex events and work with engineering teams to implement permanent fixes.
• Lead post‑incident reviews, document lessons learned and drive continuous operational improvement.
• Assess operational readiness of new releases, identify risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Monitor live platforms to ensure availability, reliability and performance across global sites.
• Reduce alert noise and operational toil by identifying inefficiencies and improving processes.
• Evaluate, recommend and implement operational tooling, including AI‑assisted decision‑making platforms.
• Create and maintain high‑quality runbooks, incident documentation and knowledge bases.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in IT operations, global production support or systems administration.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of production systems, application architecture and infrastructure components.
• Proven experience with incident management, troubleshooting, escalation and root‑cause analysis.
• Comfortable working in a 24/7 environment with live, customer‑facing services.
• Experience contributing to post‑incident reviews and driving process improvements.
• Exposure to automation and AI‑assisted operational tools.
