About the role

The City of Ekurhuleni is hiring a full-time General Worker to keep its turf grass, stadia and hard court facilities clean and tidy. The role covers routine cleaning, preparation of sports areas and event support.

Key responsibilities

Keep facilities clean and tidy
Vacuum carpets and cupboards, and clean furniture and equipment
Remove refuse in line with hygiene and occupational health and safety requirements
Clean paved and tarmac surfaces
Prepare specialised turfgrass areas as and when required
Clean and water flowerbeds and rake grass clippings from lawns
Prepare facilities and equipment for functions, and remove and store them after events
Report any damage and defects to line managers
Follow safety regulations

Required profile

Completed Grade 10
Ability to read and write
