General Worker – Retail & Mechanisation Roles

About the role

VKB Commercial Services is recruiting General Workers for its GWK Retail and NTK divisions across several South African locations. Positions are available in Cradock (Eastern Cape), Polokwane, Vivo and Lephalale (Limpopo). Successful candidates will provide general support services, assist with stock handling, maintain housekeeping standards, and support daily operational activities in retail and mechanisation environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general support services.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Assist with loading and offloading of stock.
• Handle stock control and stock movement activities.
• Assist customers and suppliers where required.
• Perform shelf care and cleaning services.
• Support security and loss control initiatives.
• Handle irrigation materials and equipment where applicable.
• Carry out mail handling duties.
• Perform general labour‑related tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Grade 10 minimum (Grade 12 preferred for Cradock position).
• Grade 12 or NQF 4 qualification for NTK positions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual and team‑oriented.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
