General Worker Positions – Retail & Mechanisation

About the role

VKB Commercial Services is recruiting General Workers for its GWK Retail and NTK Mechanisation divisions across several South African locations. The role involves supporting daily operations in retail stores and mechanised environments, handling stock, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting customers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general support services and perform cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Assist with loading, off‑loading, and movement of stock, including stock control activities.
• Maintain shelf care, perform mail handling, and support security and loss‑control initiatives.
• Handle irrigation materials and equipment where applicable.
• Assist customers and suppliers, delivering excellent service.
• Carry out any other labour‑related tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Basic reading and writing skills; Grade 10 minimum (Grade 12 preferred for Cradock).
• Grade 12 or NQF 4 qualification for NTK positions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work overtime or weekends when required.
• Good communication skills and a reliable, punctual, team‑oriented attitude.
• Previous retail, warehouse or agricultural experience is advantageous.
