General Worker – Bread Packer

About the role

Premier FMCG is looking for a reliable General Worker to join its bakery production line as a Bread Packer. The role involves meeting daily production targets while maintaining product integrity and safety standards in a fast‑paced factory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve full‑time daily production targets in the Production Department.
• Maintain high‑quality standards for baked goods and ensure product integrity.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and compliant with housekeeping, hygiene and food‑safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain scales and other packaging equipment safely.
• Handle stock picking, crate stacking, and repack damaged items as required.
• Record production data accurately and follow standard operating procedures.
• Participate in planned maintenance of assigned assets.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• 1–2 years experience in the FMCG or bakery production sector.
• Ability to work in a hot, noisy environment with maize dust.
• Willingness to work overtime, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Operation and basic maintenance of scales and packaging equipment.
• Understanding of production processes and quality‑management principles.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail for batch calculations and documentation.
