About the role
We are seeking a reliable General Service Worker to join the Pretoria campus of SAE Institute. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and good condition of the building, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and students.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, common areas and restrooms.
- Handle waste disposal and replenish supplies such as paper towels and soap.
- Operate basic cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the facilities team.
- Complete assigned tasks within set timeframes with minimal supervision.
Required profile
- Matric or equivalent (advantageous).
- Proven experience in a similar cleaning or hospitality role.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work independently.
- Positive attitude, passion for the organisation’s mission and strong endurance.
Required skills
- Safe handling of a variety of cleaning chemicals.
- Use of basic cleaning equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, etc.).
- Excellent organisational abilities to complete tasks on time.
