General Manager – Property Management (Cape Town)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive General Manager to lead the daily operations of our short‑term rental portfolio in Woodstock, Cape Town. Reporting directly to the business owner, you will oversee platform management, guest communications, and a team of supervisors to ensure seamless property performance.

Key responsibilities

• Navigate and maintain backend reservation systems and short‑term rental platforms such as Airbnb and Expedia.
• Respond promptly to critical guest inquiries, platform questions, and after‑hours client issues.
• Conduct daily briefings with approximately five supervisors to coordinate cleaning schedules, maintenance tasks, and housekeeping.
• Create and update property listings, manage images, pricing, and content across platforms.
• Support sales activities for properties currently on the market.
• Manage social media marketing campaigns and Google AdWords advertising for the business.
• Complete administrative duties and provide operational notes to the team.

Required profile

• Experience in the hospitality sector with strong guest‑relations and complaint‑handling abilities.
• Highly organized mindset capable of coordinating schedules, logistics, and daily team tasks.
• Ability to work independently from the Woodstock office and handle after‑hours issues.
• Interest in the property market and willingness to train as a qualified real‑estate agent.
