About the role

The General Manager will lead Toro River Lodge, delivering exceptional luxury safari experiences while upholding Newmark Hotels & Reserves' brand standards, conservation values, and authentic hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Toro River Lodge, ensuring alignment with brand standards and conservation values.
• Oversee all operational areas, driving excellence in guest experience, service delivery, and day‑to‑day management.
• Manage financial performance, budgeting, and profitability targets to sustain and grow the lodge’s business.
• Foster an engaged, high‑performing team culture across all departments, promoting staff development and retention.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, owners, suppliers, local communities, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality or resort management.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding brand standards.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of achieving profitability.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and team motivation.
