General Manager – Johannesburg

About the role

The General Manager will lead the overall management, profitability and strategic growth of the business in Johannesburg. This senior role oversees production, sales, customer service, logistics, quality and finance, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations, drive efficiency, productivity, quality and service delivery.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor sales, margins, expenses and profitability.
• Drive revenue growth, build customer relationships and identify new market opportunities.
• Oversee production planning, quality standards, inventory control and continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop management and supervisory teams, manage performance and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, labour legislation and industry quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven experience managing large operational teams and strong financial/commercial management skills.
• Experience in glass manufacturing, processing, glazing, aluminium or related construction materials sector is advantageous.
