General Manager (Designate) – Senior Leadership Role

About the role

The incumbent will, for a six‑month period starting 1 October 2026, devote full effort to assuming the responsibilities of General Manager of Genlux Lighting, a small company operating in the electrical market. From 1 April 2027 the role becomes permanent, directing and expanding activities to achieve effective operations and the company’s financial and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and develop the company by leveraging key capabilities for optimal costing, applications, enhancements and environmental sensitivity.
• Direct operations to achieve profitability, growth and promotion of ACTOM Group activities in the region.
• Secure required turnover, profitability and working‑capital management while overseeing all contracts and deals.
• Lead senior functions – Sales, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Production, IT and Human Capital – and maintain senior client contacts.
• Plan and execute company strategy, ensure quality service delivery and enforce staff discipline and compliance.

Required profile

• A recognised relevant degree.
• Product and market knowledge in the lighting sector.
• At least 10 years of exposure to the electrical engineering industry and lighting market.

Required skills

• Computer literacy with MS Office.
• Proficiency in CAD.
• Experience with MS Projects.
• Statistical analysis capability.
• Knowledge of Syspro ERP system.
