General Ledger Senior Accountant

About the role

Redheads Group is recruiting a General Ledger Senior Accountant to support a client’s Germany Client Accounting Team within the financial services sector. The role focuses on high‑quality financial reporting, account reconciliations and bookkeeping under German Commercial GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, while also overseeing a team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver financial reports and statements in accordance with German GAAP and IFRS.
• Perform account reconciliations and day‑to‑day bookkeeping for complex SPV structures.
• Supervise, coach and develop a team of accountants, allocating tasks to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Required profile

• Proven experience in general ledger accounting under German Commercial GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail and capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Experience working with special purpose vehicle (SPV) structures in capital markets, private equity or real estate.
