General Labourer – Strydenburg Municipal Office

About the role

General labourers will carry out cleaning, building maintenance, park upkeep and support various municipal services at the Strydenburg office. The role contributes to maintaining health, safety and service delivery standards in line with municipal guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of community facilities, including roads, storm water and drainage systems.
• Carry out cleaning activities for buildings, parks and sanitation facilities.
• Work independently under general supervision and follow health and safety procedures.
• Assist colleagues with general tasks and undertake any reasonable duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Basic literacy (Grade 10) and physically fit for manual work.
• 0–2 years experience in cleaning, maintenance, parks and recreation, or water reticulation.
• Willingness to undergo interview, reference checks, credit verification and police clearance.
