About the role
The General Admin Clerk will provide clerical support for production stores, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, inventory management and assistance with procurement processes within the Department of Public Works and Roads.
Key responsibilities
- Render general clerical support, record, organise, store, capture and retrieve correspondence and data.
- Conduct regular physical stock‑takes, update registers and safeguard warehouse items.
- Provide supply‑chain clerical support and assist with purchasing, quotations and procurement documentation.
- Capture data, file records and prepare audit‑ready documents and monthly stock reports.
- Receive, issue, label and pack store items.
- Assist in the disposal of redundant, obsolete or broken store items and ensure effective access control.
Required profile
- National Senior Certificate.
- Knowledge of warehouse or stores administrative environment.
- Understanding of the legislative framework governing the public service.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Required skills
- Microsoft Excel.
- Microsoft Word.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational abilities.
