About the role
The Department of Public Works and Roads is seeking a General Admin Clerk to support the Production Immovable Assets component. The role involves routine administrative tasks, record keeping and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Administer payment of utilities and request stationery supplies.
- Report maintenance matters and conduct physical verification of immovable assets.
- Update tenant records, compile minutes and write reports.
- Provide clerical support for personnel administration within the component.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification or equivalent.
- No prior experience required; 0‑1 years acceptable.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (North‑West Land Administration Act, GIAMA Act, Housing Tribunal Act, DORA Act, PFMA).
Required skills
- Report writing and time‑management abilities.
- Computer literacy – proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Interpersonal and telephone etiquette.
