Garment Technologist – Brackenfell

About the role

The Garment Technologist ensures high‑quality apparel production for Cotton Traders by applying technical expertise in garment construction, fabric properties, and industry standards. The role works closely with buyers, designers, suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and maintain product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to buyers and suppliers and manage the sample approval process within SLA.
• Analyse fabric and material test results to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Review failed inspection reports, lead final outcome discussions and ensure import orders are released on the shipping system.
• Collaborate with suppliers, deliver technical training to high‑risk partners and monitor production challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of sample performance, textile testing and quality outcomes in TFG systems.
• Drive innovation by staying updated on industry trends, facilitating fit workshops and conducting product benchmarking.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in retail or apparel manufacturing environments.
• Relevant technical qualification (degree or diploma) in apparel or related field.
• Strong eye for detail, exceptional organisational skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Demonstrated decision‑making, accountability and ability to manage complex information.
