Fundraising Manager

About the role

Our client, a well‑established non‑profit dedicated to specialised education and therapeutic support for children, is seeking a senior Fundraising Manager for the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. The role will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to ensure financial sustainability and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement an integrated fundraising plan covering corporate partners, trusts, foundations, major donors and individual giving.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and the Board to set annual income targets and monitor performance against budget.
• Identify and pursue new local and international funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorships.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective donors, corporate partners, schools and community organisations.
• Research, write and submit grant proposals, progress reports and impact statements.
• Manage individual giving programmes, alumni campaigns, school‑based initiatives and bequest programmes.
• Oversee the donor management system to ensure accurate record‑keeping and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience (5+ years) in fundraising or development within the non‑profit sector.
• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong network and ability to engage corporate, institutional and high‑net‑worth donors.
• Excellent written communication for grant writing and donor communications.
• Strategic thinker with the capacity to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
