Full-Stack Python Developer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Python Developer to design, build, and maintain internal web applications that sit on top of our existing data platforms. You will develop both backend and frontend components, integrate them with internal systems, and deliver intuitive tools for non‑technical users.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python‑based web applications exposing internal data products and tools.
• Develop fast, responsive front‑ends using HTML5, HTMX, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate web apps into existing internal systems (e.g., via iframes or embedded HTML).
• Collaborate with data scientists to consume datasets (dataframes, SQL tables, APIs) and create UI‑driven tools.
• Work with Python data libraries such as Pandas and SQLAlchemy to transform and present data.
• Implement asynchronous workflows (background jobs, long‑running tasks, async calls).
• Use Git and GitHub for branching, pull requests, reviews, and collaborative development.
• Write SQL queries to retrieve and join data from pre‑built datasets.
• Manage deployment basics, running Flask apps behind production servers (nginx, gunicorn, waitress).
• Implement logging, monitoring, and security best practices, including session management and input validation.
• Design clean, user‑friendly interfaces and efficient user flows.
• Contribute to documentation and maintain basic unit/integration tests.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience with Python.
• Solid frontend skills: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, HTMX.
• Experience with asynchronous concepts in Python or JavaScript (e.g., asyncio, task queues).
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of running Flask applications in production (nginx, gunicorn, waitress).
• Security awareness regarding sessions, permissions, and secure coding practices.
• Ability to design clean, functional user interfaces for internal tools.
