Full-Stack Integration Engineer – .NET/Python, APIs & AWS

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Full‑Stack Integration Engineer to join a major corporate and investment banking technology programme. The role focuses on developing secure digital solutions that enhance client self‑service and improve efficiency across the lending journey. You will work within a multidisciplinary Agile team, collaborating closely with a senior front‑end engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using .NET and/or Python.
• Create and version RESTful APIs following best‑practice design standards.
• Build microservices with clear boundaries and implement API‑gateway solutions.
• Integrate internal banking platforms and third‑party services using synchronous REST and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Develop and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas and queries.
• Implement authentication and authorisation using OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT.
• Provide audit and event‑logging functionality and monitor applications with logs, correlation IDs and tracing tools.
• Work with AWS services such as IAM, VPC, S3 and CloudWatch.
• Contribute to Angular and TypeScript front‑end components when required.
• Participate in PI planning, sprint planning, technical design reviews and produce documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant IT degree, diploma or equivalent professional experience.
• Solid full‑stack or backend engineering experience in a commercial setting.
• Professional development experience with .NET and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of microservice design principles and RESTful API development.
• Experience with API gateways, enterprise system integrations and both synchronous and asynchronous communication.
• Familiarity with Angular and TypeScript.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT authentication mechanisms.
