Full Stack Developer – .NET, PHP & SQL (UK hours)

About the role

Our UK‑based client is looking for a highly capable Full Stack Developer to work on both modern .NET applications and legacy codebases. You will build robust, scalable server‑side and client‑side solutions while collaborating closely with the Projects Team and the IT & Development Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and refactor backend systems using VB.NET.NET Core/6+ and PHP.
• Create efficient RESTful API endpoints and integrate external services.
• Design, optimise and perform CRUD operations on Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Work with HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript/jQuery to deliver responsive front‑end components.
• Debug, profile performance and resolve bottlenecks across .NET, SQL and PHP layers.
• Navigate and improve undocumented legacy codebases while ensuring clean architecture.
• Document technical decisions and contribute to SCRUM meetings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a frontend, backend or full‑stack developer.
• Experience in a regulated or financial services environment is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented, agile environment.
