Front End Engineer (React / Next.js)

About the role

Cerebria is building an AI‑powered medical education platform that transforms clinical content into interactive learning experiences. As a Front‑End Engineer you will join a small, high‑impact team in South Africa, working closely with backend and clinical colleagues to deliver a product that directly improves cardiovascular care and education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Translate medical and clinical content into clear, engaging, interactive learning modules.
• Implement designs from Figma, ensuring visual polish and consistent behavior.
• Integrate front‑end features with backend APIs, handling real data reliably.
• Maintain high standards for performance, accessibility, and responsive behavior.
• Collaborate daily with product, backend, and clinical teams to ship user‑focused features.

Required profile

• Proven track record of shipping front‑end work in production environments.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and work effectively in a cross‑functional team.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high‑quality user experiences.

Required skills

• Solid production experience with React.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with Next.js or ability to learn it quickly.
• Comfort navigating and implementing designs from Figma.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and web accessibility.
