Freight Forwarding Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Freight Forwarding Assistant to coordinate and manage international shipments for a global client portfolio. The role ensures smooth movement of goods from origin to destination while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end shipments across air, sea, and road freight, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers, agents, and transport providers to arrange collections and deliveries.
• Monitor shipments in transit, resolve operational issues, and keep clients informed of status, delays, or changes.
• Review and validate shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
• Ensure compliance with customs requirements and support efficient customs clearance.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and client communications.
• Support continuous improvement of logistics processes and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong understanding of international shipping processes and Incoterms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and competing deadlines.
• Proactive problem‑solver capable of responding quickly to operational challenges.

Required skills

• Knowledge of key shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists).
• Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and international trade practices.
