Freelance SEO Specialist – South African Market (Chinese speaking)

About the role

TransPerfect is seeking a freelance SEO Specialist to help global brands expand their digital presence in the South African market. The role focuses on both traditional search engines and emerging AI‑powered platforms, requiring fluency in English and Chinese.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical SEO audits, including Core Web Vitals, hreflang and canonical reviews.
• Perform LLM visibility audits and develop AI prompts for search optimization.
• Execute keyword research, content strategy and on‑page optimisation for international localisation.
• Provide technical SEO consulting, website crawls and SEO analysis using industry tools.
• Deliver project‑based recommendations to improve rankings on search engines and AI search platforms.

Required profile

• Native or full professional proficiency in English and Chinese.
• Strong technical and on‑page SEO knowledge with experience in international SEO and localisation.
• Familiarity with AI search, large language models and prompt engineering.
• Proven ability to work independently on freelance, project‑based assignments.
