FP&A Specialist – Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Our client, a growing telecommunications business in Johannesburg, is seeking an analytically strong FP&A Specialist to drive commercial insight and support strategic decision‑making. The role will work closely with senior business leaders to translate financial data into actionable recommendations that enhance performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial and operational performance across multiple divisions, identifying drivers, trends, risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate the budgeting process, prepare rolling forecasts and compare actual results against plans.
• Build, maintain and enhance financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analyses for strategic initiatives.
• Support cash‑flow management, liquidity planning, debt facility analysis and treasury reporting.
• Partner with finance and business leaders on commercial decisions, valuations, feasibility studies and special projects.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) – essential.
• 2–5 years post‑articles experience in a commercial, analytical or finance environment.
• Proven experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to communicate complex insights to stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced commercial setting.
