Foreman - Residential

About the role

We are a well‑established property development and residential construction company seeking an experienced Foreman to lead our residential building projects in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for coordinating site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of high‑standard housing units.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and ensure adherence to approved programmes and deadlines.
• Interpret and implement detailed Microsoft bar‑chart block programmes accurately.
• Monitor project progress, identify issues early, and apply corrective actions.
• Provide clear daily work instructions to site teams and manage performance expectations.
• Maintain quality control processes, complete documentation, and obtain engineer sign‑offs.
• Prepare and submit timesheets, reports, expense claims, and month‑end documentation.
• Coordinate the compliant handover of completed units to clients.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) required; construction‑related qualification advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Foreman on residential construction projects.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, site supervision, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft bar‑chart block programmes for construction scheduling.
