Foreclosure Legal Secretary – Cape Town CBD

About the role

Our client in Cape Town CBD is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Legal Secretary to manage home loan foreclosure matters in strict compliance with the National Credit Act. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong mathematical ability, and the capacity to meet tight, non‑negotiable deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and action new foreclosure instructions.
• Open and manage new files in line with the National Credit Act.
• Communicate extensively with clients, debtors, and internal teams.
• Prepare, dispatch, and track demand letters and summons.
• Draft, format, and update legal agreements and e‑commerce contracts.
• Maintain calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure timely delivery of all legal documents.
• Update and organise files, folders, and departmental records.
• Handle high‑pressure situations and ad‑hoc legal compliance requests.

Required profile

• Matric and a relevant legal qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in foreclosure litigation.
• Strong knowledge of the National Credit Act.
• Exceptional mathematical ability and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a personal diary.
• Team‑oriented mindset.
