Flutter Developer (Contract) – Durban or Remote – R55k‑R60k CTC/month

About the role

An experienced Flutter developer is needed to join a retail‑technology project, building and enhancing cross‑platform applications that integrate with point‑of‑sale systems and databases. The role is contract‑based and can be performed from Durban or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile and web applications using Flutter and Dart.
• Create user‑friendly interfaces tailored for retail environments.
• Integrate applications with MS SQL databases, APIs and POS systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise code to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, participate in code reviews, testing and deployment.
• Deploy apps and leverage cloud services such as Firebase or Node.js when appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience as a Flutter developer delivering production‑level apps.
• Strong background working with retail or POS systems and MS SQL.
• Solid understanding of API integration and version control (Git).
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment.
