Floor Supervisor – 40hr – Remote – Canal Walk

About the role

The Floor Supervisor supports the store management team by providing outstanding leadership and ensuring operational excellence. They allocate time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and manage merchandise and visual principles. The role also drives performance through store KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing feedback to the Store Manager regarding sales‑floor improvements.
• Ensure all customers are greeted promptly and staff remain attentive.
• Monitor individual sales staff performance and report under‑performance with suggested solutions.
• Maintain high product knowledge across allocated departments.
• Enter customer orders into the order book in a timely manner.
• Oversee shelf stocking and communicate stock shortages for re‑ordering.
• Continuously monitor and replenish stock levels throughout the day.
• Ensure items are accurately priced, labelled, and shelf‑talkers correctly placed; report discrepancies.
• Immediately report and remove damaged stock, completing proper documentation.
• Maintain attractive, up‑to‑date merchandising displays across all store areas.
• Plan, monitor, and adjust shift schedules to meet operational requirements.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with a minimum of 3 years retail or administrative experience, demonstrating a proven ability to drive sales.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with high attention to detail and initiative.
• Ability to build networks, focus on customers, develop talent, direct work and drive engagement within a diverse team.
