Fleet & Safety Supervisor

About the role

The Fleet & Safety Supervisor provides on‑ground technical and operational oversight of safety and fleet management, ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Road Transport Act and corporate safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of depot fleet (trucks, trailers, forklifts) for legal and company compliance.
• Maintain and archive fleet records, licensing history and pre‑trip inspections.
• Manage internal self‑audits, analyse findings and implement corrective actions.
• Attend weekly fleet meetings and provide performance insights.
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance plans and ensure timely COF and licensing processes.

Required profile

• Relevant 3‑year tertiary degree or diploma.
• 2‑3 years of functional experience in fleet management.
• Knowledge of South African OHS Act, Road Traffic Act and related governance codes.
• Strong analytical ability and good performance track record.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience using CR360 for reporting non‑conformances, incidents and accidents.
