Fleet & Operations Assistant – Johannesburg

About the role

Our Johannesburg branch based in Kempton Park is seeking an experienced Fleet & Operations Assistant to manage and support our vehicle fleet across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections, tyre management and branding.
• Oversee vehicle quality control, appearance and 3rd‑party liaison (Lancewell, ATS, Royal Truck Washing).
• Manage battery, breakdowns (mechanical & tyre), and vehicle tracking/monitoring.
• Control fleet spare keys, pallet jack repairs, empty pallet management and workshop operations.
• Maintain service schedules, COF/roadworthy licences, tail‑lift and forklift management.
• Handle load testing, rental fleet coordination, purchase order reconciliation and fuel management.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management presentations and plan in‑house/adhoc collections.
• Support facility management, utility control, risk investigation and health & safety duties.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 3 beneficial).
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, be reliable and punctual.
• 3‑5 years of fleet management experience.
