Fleet Controller – Zambia (Cross‑Border Logistics)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing Zambian transport business operating across the Copperbelt corridor, is seeking a hands‑on Fleet Controller. The role covers end‑to‑end management of a dedicated fleet, from planning and collection through delivery and invoicing, using live data.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain live TMS updates and manage the board of loads, ensuring accurate data flow.
• Monitor orders from booking to proof of delivery, handling customs clearance and transit documentation.
• Coordinate with drivers, clients and suppliers, including dangerous‑goods documentation where required.
• Prepare invoicing, costing sheets and manage creditor/debtor records.
• Produce daily tracking reports for clients and report incidents within 24 hours.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 with Mathematics; degree or diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• 2–3 years experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transport, preferably on Kasumbalesa, Chirundu or Kazungula routes.
• Good knowledge of ZRA and COMESA/SADC cross‑border customs procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Transport Management System (TMS) and live tracking platforms.
• Advanced Excel and high computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
