FinTech Product Manager

About the role

We are seeking an efficient, self‑motivated FinTech Product Manager to lead discovery and delivery of SnapScan’s key innovation initiatives, working closely with Standard Bank to create value for South African SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with SnapScan senior management and bank stakeholders to define a shared product vision and align objectives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with PCI DSS, AML/KYC and GDPR while managing risk.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis and user interviews to validate concepts and prototype solutions.
• Leverage bank data and SnapScan assets to build user personas and inform product decisions.
• Coordinate engineering, design and operations teams to deliver milestones and monitor performance metrics.
• Manage product launch, track early metrics and iterate based on feedback.

Required profile

• Team player who builds collaborative relationships across fintech and traditional banking environments.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity, making decisions with limited information and iterating rapidly.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to maintain focus under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences, from technical teams to C‑suite executives.

Required skills

• Understanding of APIs, data flows and system integration.
• Knowledge of financial regulations such as PCI DSS, AML and KYC.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles relevant to fintech and banking integrations.
