Fintech Payment Gateway Sales Consultant – Remote (Johannesburg)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Consultant to drive new business acquisition for our fintech payment gateway solutions. The role is fully remote, based in Johannesburg, and requires travel across South Africa to meet merchants and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential merchants for online, mobile and financial collection payment solutions.
• Develop deep product knowledge of our payment offerings within the National Payments System.
• Maintain a sales pipeline, track activities and provide accurate forecasts to management.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development and customer support to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Relevant sales or marketing qualification in the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of prospecting, presenting, negotiating and closing deals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional South African languages are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all stakeholder levels.
• Highly self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
