Financial & Tax Accountant

About the role

Our client in the electronics industry is seeking a self‑driven Financial & Tax Accountant to produce accurate, reliable financial information and ensure full compliance with statutory obligations. You will work closely with internal teams and external auditors to support sound business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage the internal audit control system (CATS) and implement internal controls.
• Oversee accounts payable, review vouchers and enforce the 90‑day vendor rule.
• Coordinate external audit queries, collate information and support audit completion.
• Lead tax risk management, prepare corporate income tax, provisional tax, deferred tax and related schedules.
• Handle statutory tax submissions to SARS, expatriate tax returns and transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, conduct asset and inventory counts, and produce related reports.
• Assist with month‑end closing, journal preparation, variance analysis and reconciliation of sales, general and administration expenses.

Required profile

• Self‑driven and motivated professional.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Experience working with external auditors and internal audit processes.
• Ability to manage multiple statutory filing deadlines.
