Financial Manager - Manufacturing

About the role

Talentfuse is seeking a commercially‑minded Financial Manager to lead the finance function of a growing manufacturing business in City Deep, Johannesburg. You will act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing insight that drives strategic decisions and supports the company’s expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the finance function, preparing monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and cash‑flow forecasting, as well as oversee debtors, creditors and treasury activities.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting processes, ensuring statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, UIF, SARS).
• Prepare budgets, monitor performance against objectives and deliver commercial analysis to support operational decisions.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous finance‑process enhancements.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting, BCom Honours, SAIPA or CIMA qualification.
• 3–7 years of experience as a Financial Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, including Activity‑Based Costing (ABC).
• Proven experience managing working capital, cash flow and statutory compliance with SARS.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems – Acumatica preferred.
