Financial Manager – Lead Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead a high‑performing finance team within a dynamic, product‑based business in Johannesburg East. The role combines hands‑on accounting, strategic financial planning, and leadership to drive financial excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations.
• Prepare, review and present management accounts, financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure tax compliance, including VAT calculations and SARS submissions.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end reporting processes in line with accounting standards.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to improve profitability and support strategic decisions.
• Liaise with auditors, banks and other external parties.

Required profile

• B.Com degree in Accounting with completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• Minimum 3 years post‑article experience.
• Proven people‑management experience.
• Background in manufacturing, retail or similar product‑based industries.
• Mandarin language skills are a distinct advantage.
